Young Professionals Visit Fronius

That’s why we opened our doors to the DVS (or the German Welding Society) in Wels on November 16 and 17. Together with a group of 17 university students, they joined us to learn all about joining technology and gain their first practical welding experience. A series of general insights into our company were followed by a rousing motivational presentation by Ronald Holzleitner, outlining the development opportunities in the field of professional welding available to students with a keen interest in technology. 

On the second day, a team of Perfect Welding experts presented our wide range of welding solutions for manual welding, robot-assisted welding, and automation. We also offered insights into the creation of prototypes according to customer requirements, monitoring and analyzing welding data, and apps that make everyday welding easier. And, of course, when it came to our latest innovation, the WeldCube Navigator in combination with our proven TPS/i, the students got the chance to lend a hand and have a go at welding a cellphone holder.   

"Welding gives you endless possibilities to create things. It covers so many areas, from craftsmanship to sensor technology and data processing. Digitalization has well and truly arrived in welding technology and this will lead to many exciting topics in the future,” says Felix Harst, a student at the Technical University of Munich, summarizing his experience at Fronius in Wels.
